SHI is glad to collaborate with the Malaysia Secondary School Chinese Language Teachers Association and Faqing Academy, to jointly organise the Second Lecture Series on the Study of Qing Ci Poetry: Three Lectures on Early Qing Ci Poetics online this October. The webinars were open to all HKBU faculty, students and the general public, and attracted more than 300 audience online.

About the lectures
詞在經歷元明二代近四百年的衰微之後，在明末突然煥發出耀眼光芒。
從歷史層面考察，清初是一個由亂世走向盛世的過程；從文學史層面考察，清初文學也正是一個從衰頹走向繁榮的過程。
清初詩詞的發展及觀念上的變化，與當時代漢文人對滿清王朝的心態轉變密切相關。而漢文人心態的轉變，又與康熙十八年博學鴻儒科的舉辦有著密切關系。
清初詩壇的主流是「遺民詩」。在當時漢族人民和清朝統治者之間存在矛盾的情況下，具有反清思想的明朝「遺民」詩人。有的詩篇因受禁錮而失傳，但流傳下來的依舊富有反抗精神。
這個10月，蘇州大學文學院副教授、碩士生導師——陳昌強博士將帶領我們一起走進清初詞學的世界，從南北宋之爭與清代浙西詞派的歷史演進、論康熙皇帝的詞學活動及其影響談到「重光後身」說與清初詞學演進。
About the speaker
陳昌強博士為南京大學文學博士、歷史學院出站博士後，美國哈佛大學東亞語言與文明系訪問學者。現任蘇州大學文學院副教授、碩士生導師；蘇州大學首屆優秀青年學者，國家重大古籍整理出版項目《全清詞》主要編纂成員；目前主持國家級、省部級項目多項。主要研究領域為明清文學、詞學，已出版專著一部，整理點校古籍多部，並在《文學遺產》《中華文史論叢》《文藝理論研究》《文獻》等學術期刊發表論文五十余篇。
