Distinguished Scholar in Residence – Prof. Jiang Yin (2-5/2016)

The Distinguished Scholar in Residence Programme, offered by the HKBU Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute and the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology, invites internationally acclaimed scholars to stay on campus to share their insights with students, academic departments and research centers throughout the University in ways that are mutually enlightening.

Prof. Jiang Yin, Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was invited as first Distinguished Scholar in Residence at HKBU from February to May 2016.

During his visit, he offered 4 public lectures, including “Lao (Old):A Concept of Literary Aesthetics,” “The Aesthetic Meaning of Han Yu’s Reform of Tang Poetry,” “New Studies on Yuan Mei’s Poetics,” and “Ji Yun and Qing-Dynasty Poetics”. Please click here for details of the lecture series.
