The Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute is glad to invite Prof. Ching-Fen Cho, Professor of Central University to deliver a public lecture for the new Frontiers in Sino-Humanitas Lecture series at HKBU in mid-May for the, titled "Painting in Poetry, People in Paintings: Self-Writing and Image Construction in the Inscriptions of Qing Dynasty Women Poets", and share her research findings and insight.

About the speaker

卓清芬,臺灣大學中國文學研究所博士。現任中央大學中文系教授,曾任中央大學明清研究中心主任、中央大學中文系主任。研究領域為宋詞、清詞、詞學理論與批評、清代女性詩詞等。著有《納蘭性德文學研究》、《清末四大家詞學及詞作研究》,注說龍沐勛編選《唐宋名家詞選》。單篇論文有〈「以詩為詞」的實踐──談晏幾道《小山詞》的詩人句法〉、〈自我呈現與他人型塑──湯貽汾〈吟釵圖〉詩卷題詠析論〉、〈從〈信芳閣自題八圖〉題辭和《信芳閣詩草》看清代女詩人陳蘊蓮的自我定位〉、〈試析顧太清仿擬宋詞和編選《宋詞選》的意義與價值〉等。

 

 
Abstract

女性畫像和畫像題詠所呈現的女性主體性和社會文化脈絡之間的聯結,實為清代文學與文化中值得關注的現象。清代女性在畫像中所展現的自我形象,往往是有意識的傳達出女性的「自我」在面對外界時所採取的姿態。主題、背景布置與人物的穿著、動作構成了畫面的主體,而文字題詠則補足了人物的內在精神和心理層面。畫像題詠可分為「自題」與「他題」,自我題詠,顯示出清代女性的觀看自我與再現自我;他人題詠則呈現了他人對女性像主的觀看與型塑。觀看自我與再現自我,是清代女性對於自我、對於存在的一種敍述;而他人觀看與他人型塑,則衍生出性別詮釋的差異,反映了當時社會文化的價值觀。透過幾個個案的分析,提供學術研究的另一個視角,使研究生能夠理解清代女性詩詞書寫的多層意義,以及女性在文學世界中的獨特聲音。
