Abstract: 劇場凋萎，詩人自殺，「小說已經死亡」，文學的新大陸何在？細察新世紀的文化態勢，傳記文學似乎一枝獨秀。這種現象，不妨稱之為「傳記文學熱」。發言東西兼修，並以當代傳記名著為例，論述傳記文學的三大要素， 繼而探討「傳記熱」之深層原因。
