With the recent publication of the Third Volume of Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Period (476 – 221 B.C.E.) Collected by Tsinghua University, the Hong Kong Baptist University Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology, Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts of Tsinghua University, Chinese Society of the Book of Odes, Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute and Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Hong Kong Baptist University organized the International Conference on Tsinghua Bamboo Strips and the Book of Odes at Hong Kong Baptist University on 1-3 November 2013.
The 3-day Conference was honoured to invite 44 outstanding scholars from the mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, U.S.A., United Kingdom and Germany to speak and discuss over the topics of Tsinghua Bamboo Strips and Shijing.
More than 30 papers presented at the conferences were reviewed and published by the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts of Tsinghua University in August 2015, as The study of Tsinghua Bamboo Strips (Second issue), which is a good reference for scholars in the fields of excavated documents, Pre-Qin literature and such.
