The Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute of Hong Kong Baptist University is very honoured to invite Professor Cheng Sudong from Peking University, to serve as HKBU University Fellow during January and February 2025, and give two public presentations in person during the visit to share his first-hand experience and insight on classical Chinese studies with local faculties, students and members of the public who are interested. Two lectures are on different topics, and all are welcome to register and participate.

About the speaker
程蘇東，男，1986年11月生，江蘇東台人，北京大學文學博士，國家「萬人計畫」哲學社會科學領軍人才（2023），現任北京大學中國語言文學系教授、副系主任、博士生導師，兼任《傳統文化研究》副主編、《北京科技大學學報》（社會科學版）編委，主要從事漢唐經學史、經學文獻學、先秦兩漢文學、早期書寫文化研究，在《中國社會科學》《歷史語言研究所集刊》（臺北）等海內外學術刊物發表論文七十餘篇，著有《從六藝到十三經——以經目演變為中心》《漢代洪範五行學——一種異質性知識的經學化》，主持多項國家社科基金、教育部人文社科基金、霍英東青年教師基金項目，曾獲北京市優秀博士學位論文獎（2012）、霍英東青年科學獎（2022）、國家級教學成果獎（集體，2023）、高等學校科學研究優秀成果獎（青年成果獎，2024）。
