The Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute at Hong Kong Baptist University has long been committed to supporting young scholars and fostering academic exchange among them. With a strong tradition of hosting young scholar symposia, the Institute will jointly organise “The Humanities Scholar's New Voyage — The Fifth Hong Kong Young Scholars Research Forum on History and Literature” in February 2027, together with three other local universities.
Since its inception in 2021, the Forum has become a major annual event for the new generation in Hong Kong's literature and history fields, recognized for its continuity and enthusiastic participation. Over the past four sessions, each Forum has attracted more than 60 young scholars from various branches of literature and history, representing universities across Hong Kong and showcasing the breadth and vitality of local young researchers.
