Topic: Gesture and Language: A New Perspective on Modern Chinese Poetics Speaker: Prof Cheng Yu-yu, National Taiwan University Date: 24 March 2017 (Friday) Time: 4:30pm – 6:00pm Venue: 7/F, Shaw Tower, 34 Renfrew Road, Kowloon Tong (SWT7/F) Language: Putonghua Abstract:當漢語詩成為「『現代』詩」,這所謂「現代質地」(modernity)還是必須回到「漢語」的現代性來討論。晚清民初以來,面對新語詞、新學科、拼音文字、英語文法這些如同外來侵襲的事物,漢語、漢字及其所在的文化系統,從未停止回應與思考;從「如何向新世界開口發聲」到「如何重建與世界的新關係」,我們發現漢語詩「現代化」的進程裡,不應該忽視當時由語法學、文字學、音韻學、心理學、修辭學等不同領域出發而建構的漢語新思維,討論「現代詩」不應該忽略如馬建忠、劉師培、黃人、黃侃、唐鉞、胡樸安、陳望道、李安宅,以至於陳世驤或高友工等人,是如何自覺的去發現漢語、漢字所以存有與應變的依據,而其中允為核心的是漢語的「可發聲性」與「可體現性」,正與晚清以來高張喧騰的現代視線相互拉鋸,呈現不可輕忽的抗衡態勢。 About the speaker:鄭毓瑜教授為國立台灣大學講座教授,中文系特聘教授,在學術研究方面,鄭教授擅長結合中西人文思潮,為古典文學開拓具有前瞻性與跨領域的視野,其中關於「空間」、「身體」與「抒情傳統」的論述尤為海內外注目,近年來則致力於探討近現代知識經驗與文學表述的新關係。研究成果曾獲得中華民國教育部學術獎、國科會傑出研究獎、國科會傑出學者研究計畫,胡適紀念講座,台大傑出專書獎,並曾獲美國Fulbright、國科會(科技部)、蔣基會與Harvard、UCLA、UIUC、UW、Princeton等著名學術機構獎助,出國研究或講學。著有《六朝文氣論探究》、《六朝情境美學》、《性別與家國—漢晉辭賦的楚騷論述》、《文本風景—自我與空間的相互定義》、《引譬連類—文學研究的關鍵詞》、《姿與言:詩國革命新論》等專書。
